What you should do if you child is being bullied

"In the first instance, you should try to talk to your child’s school. While it can be difficult, you should try and remain calm even though the situation is upsetting. Try taking a few notes into the meeting with you so you don’t forget the things you want to cover. If your child has any evidence of the bullying (such as emails, text messages, or physical signs), where possible, you should take these along to the meeting with you.

If you have already tried talking to the school and the problem is persisting, you should then contact your state or territory education authority who can then investigate the issue on your behalf. Call the main switch number and ask to be put through to someone who works in the student welfare area."
